Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Zentos Constructions Pty Ltd handles personal information, including anything you send us through this website. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

We collect personal information you give us when you get in touch or engage us for a project. Typically that is:

• Your name, phone number and email address
• The address of the site or property your project relates to
• Plans, drawings, permits and other project documents you send us
• Notes from our conversations, and correspondence during a build
• Billing and payment details where you become a client

We do not seek sensitive information, and we ask that you do not send it to us unless it is genuinely relevant to your build, such as an accessibility requirement that affects the design.

How we collect it

Almost always directly from you, by phone, email, or in conversation at our showroom or on site. We may also receive your details from an architect, designer, engineer or developer working with you on the same project, or from someone who refers you to us.

How we use it

• To respond to your enquiry and answer your questions
• To prepare a quote or a build proposal
• To carry out and administer a project, including scheduling and site coordination
• To invoice and take payment
• To meet our obligations under building, safety and tax law

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for marketing lists.

Who we share it with

Building a home takes a lot of people, so during a project we share what is necessary with:

• Subcontractors and trades working on your build
• Suppliers, where an order or delivery has to be arranged
• Architects, designers, engineers, surveyors and building surveyors on the project
• Councils and authorities, where a permit or approval requires it
• Our accountants, insurers and professional advisers

We share only what those parties actually need. We do not disclose your information overseas as part of running a project.

This website

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, and the project videos are served from Cloudflare R2. Page fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, and the site's styling library is loaded from a public CDN. Like any website, those services receive your IP address and basic technical details of the request in order to send the page to you. That happens on their infrastructure rather than ours, and we do not use it to identify you.

We set no cookies and run no analytics or advertising trackers on this site. If that changes, this policy will be updated before it does.

The site links out to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and Google Maps. Once you follow one of those links you are on their platform and their privacy policy applies, not ours.

Storing and protecting it

We keep personal information in our business systems and email, and take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep project records for as long as we need them for the build and for as long as building, insurance and tax law requires us to, which can be several years after handover. After that we destroy or de-identify them.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email enquiries@zentos.com.au or call (03) 9352 4720 and we will come back to you. There is no charge, and we will not make it difficult.

Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, please tell us first at enquiries@zentos.com.au so we can look into it. If you are not satisfied with how we respond, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version always sits on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
